This remarkable hydrogen-alpha solar image captures the Sun's chromosphere at 656.3nm wavelength using a Lunt LS60THa 60mm f/8.3 telescope paired with a ZWO ASI585MM monochrome camera on a Sky-Watcher EQ6 tracking mount. The image reveals intricate surface detail including multiple dark filaments (plasma channels suspended in the chromosphere), bright active regions with complex magnetic field structures, and a prominent solar prominence visible on the left limb extending into the corona. The granular texture of the photosphere is visible across the entire disk, while the orange-gold false-color rendering is a classic aesthetic choice for H-alpha solar imaging.
