On Sunday I spent the day covering the historic landing of the Phoenix on Mars from NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena. It was an exciting assignment for Wired that entailed four separate trips, one to [Goldstone](http://www.wired.com/science/space/multimedia/2008/05/gallery_jpl_goldstone) in the Mojave and three to JPL. Here is some of my coverage from the landing, click on the screen-grabs to read the articles: [](https://eecue.com/p/30687/WIRED-Phoenix-Lander-Touchdown.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/30686/WIRED-Phoenix-Lander-Press-Conference.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/30685/WIRED-Live-from-Mission-Control.html) Screen-grabs hosted by [f](http://www.flickr.com/photos/47904375@N00/2531992587)[li](http://www.flickr.com/photos/47904375@N00/2532808028)[ckr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/47904375@N00/2532807276).
