As I mentioned in my previous blog posts, I attended my 6th Defcon this year. I had a great time and actually ended up getting hired by [Wired Blog](http://blog.wired.com/) to shoot photos of the event, [many of which can be found here](http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/defcon/index.html). A few of them also made it onto the [main Wired website](http://www.wired.com/politics/security/news/2007/08/medeco). Of course I took hundreds of photos and only a handful were used by Wired, so here are some highlights from my collection: [](https://eecue.com/p/29381/Glowing-DC-Badges.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/29383/Hacked-Badge.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/29388/OLPC.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/29362/Uncle-Ira-Junk.html) [](https://eecue.com/p/29385/Black-Badges.html) [More after the jump](http://eecue.com/log_archive/eecue-log-742-Defcon_15___Photo_Essay.html), and the whole archive can be found in my [Defcon 15 gallery](http://eecue.com/images_archive/eecue-album-1483-1-Defcon_15.html).
About a month ago I upgraded to the newest version of Adobe's Lightroom. Adobe fixed most of the problems that existed in their first version, most importantly the horrid sluggishness that occurred when browsing through the library. It's not perfect yet, but it is much better. I am looking forward to the next version and the release of a plugin SDK.
