Northern Shoveler Duck Foraging in Shallow Wetland Pool

A male Northern Shoveler duck is captured feeding in a small, muddy pool within a wetland area. The duck displays its characteristic plumage with a dark green head, white breast, and chestnut-colored flanks, along with the distinctive large, spatulate bill it uses to filter feed. The bird is bent forward with its head submerged in the shallow water, actively foraging. The surrounding habitat shows a flooded agricultural or grassland area with stubble vegetation emerging from the water and muddy ground, typical of seasonal wetland flooding.
