A Mystical Pagoda in the Forest

This stunning pagoda in the woods, located in Kyoto's Nakagyo district, is just one of the many incredible temples and shrines we visited during our 2003 trip to Japan. The ancient stone path leading up to its temple roof creates an almost mystical atmosphere, making it the perfect place to reflect and pray.
