The Mysterious White and Yellow Sphere

A strange corded sphere sits on a table, its purpose and origin unknown. Is it a robot or an airplane? A piece of computer hardware or a vehicle from outer space? The possibilities are endless. This photograph was taken in 2009 as part of JPL radar album.
