Wild Cove Beach Framed by Dark Sea Cliffs

A secluded cove beach is captured from a low angle looking toward the open ocean, framed dramatically by large dark rocky outcroppings on both sides. The sand is dark gray-brown, consistent with volcanic or serpentinite mineral content common to the Northern California coast. Powerful waves crash through the narrow opening between the sea cliffs, sending white foam across the beach. The sky is heavily overcast with a flat, gray marine layer, contributing to a somber and atmospheric mood. Footprints in the foreground sand suggest a lone visitor recently walked this otherwise empty stretch of beach.
