Protesters Take to the Streets

A group of 35 people, mostly women, march down the city street holding signs and banners in a protest for their land rights and against government policies. They walk on the tarmac road, crossing pedestrian lanes and passing by street lamps and city buildings. Many carry handbags and wear different clothing and footwear, with hats as an added accessory. It's a peaceful parade, but the message is clear. Taken on February 17, 2003.
