Looking up the Bunker Hill Steps showing the central cascading water feature designed by Lawrence Halprin. Water flows down the stepped granite channel between wide concrete stairs. The terraced design leads up to 5th Street where office buildings are visible. Trees frame the scene and provide shade. The fountain creates a cooling oasis in the urban landscape of Downtown Los Angeles.
