A basket filled with colorful sticks, woven with a practiced hand in Little Tokyo while a person works on a weaving wheel nearby. The intricate and delicate process uses a combination of machine and manual skill, perhaps aided by the candles and wiring tools seen in the background. The basket itself is a beautiful example of the art of cutlery and spoons used in traditional Japanese weaving techniques.
