This astrophotography image captures M37 (NGC 2099), one of the finest open star clusters in the constellation Auriga. The cluster appears as a dense concentration of hundreds of stars in the center-right portion of the frame, with stars of varying colors including blue, white, and orange hues. The image was processed from Luminance, Red, Green, and Blue filtered exposures totaling 34 minutes of integration time. Notable is the bright orange star visible in the upper center area. The deep black sky is populated with countless background stars of various magnitudes, showcasing the rich stellar field typical of this region along the winter Milky Way.
