Purple Petals in Bloom

This close up of a flower showcases the vibrant purple petals, along with the pollen-filled anthers and bright yellow centers. Identified as a geranium plant, it belongs to the Acanthaceae family but also bears resemblance to daisies and amaryllids. Photographed on February 25th, 2006 in the QVR desert.
