Day Tripping: Disneyland, Lemos Farm and California Academy of Sciences
As a family, we love to explore new places, and a month ago we took a trip to Disneyland for my birthday. It was my first time visiting the happiest place on earth with my 8-month-old son, Wesley. Needless to say, it was an experience I will never forget.
Disneyland
We spent two days at Disneyland, exploring all the attractions and taking in the magic of the park. Surprisingly, Wesley is not too young to ride most of the rides. Pretty much all of our favorites don’t have age or height limits. He loved every minute of it. He was fascinated by all the lights, sounds, and colors around him.
To capture all the special moments from our trip, I used my new Canon R6 Mark II and my RF 24-70mm f/2.8 IS L IS USM lens, which was my birthday present to myself. The camera and lens combination produced stunning images that we will cherish forever.
Lemos Farm
This past weekend, we took two short day trips. On Saturday, we visited Lemos Farm, which was a hit with Wesley. He got to pet some farm animals, go on a train ride and enjoy the signs and smells of a farm. It was a fantastic day, and we all had a lot of fun.
California Academy of Sciences
On Sunday, we visited the California Academy of Sciences, which was a remarkable experience. Wesley was particularly fascinated by the child play area, which we randomly found after noticing a handful of parked strollers. He played for hours with kids of all ages and. We also checked out the gem and mineral display, which we loved.
Overall, both trips were incredible experiences that I feel grateful to have had. It's always great to get out of the house and explore new places with the people you love. As a photographer, having my new camera and lens with me made the experience even more special, as I was able to capture all the magic and beauty of the places we visited.
