cacti for rrg setup

after setting up my secure snmp network i needed something to parse the data with. MRTG is too basic so i opted for rrg. I used the software package called cacti. It's very nice.

The one problem i found with it is that it was written for a linux box so hardly any of the included scripts worked. I got the snmp.pl script working and the ping script working and those were what i needed.

I set up ipfilter to count certain packets like all tcp, upd, icmp, port 80, port 21 etc. i now have graphs of all that info.

i just need to set up all my graphs and i'll be set.
